The egg was on the beginning |
The most important is to begin from the scratch, without
any expectations, expensive equipment and tools. Especially for the case
our attempts will not be successful.
Three days after the Easter 2002 I bought myself an electric drill costing $7. Then, I started carving the chicken eggs whose walls are about 0.4mm thin. It was very hard at the beginning. I had to be patient and then, the results came. |
If you want to do something like this, you should have the support of
your family, the desire to succeed
and go in for that 25 hours a day. My effort was rewarded with three egg portraits similar with reality. |

Egg as decorative object needed something to stand on,
so I bough lathe and some hand chisels from my friend. I used 20 years
old cherry wood for making egg stands.
